Jun Oh, MD, is a professor of paediatrics and the director of the division of paediatric nephrology, paediatric hepatology and paediatric transplantation at the University Medical Centre Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) in Germany. He leads one of the largest paediatric transplantation programmes in Europe, with a particular focus on kidney, liver, and combined organ transplantation in infants and children. His scientific interests lie in elucidating the pathogenesis of proteinuric diseases, the role of the immune system in transplantation, and the development of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to improve long-term transplant outcomes.

Prof. Oh plays an active role in several international societies: he sits on the Council of the European Society of Paediatric Nephrology (ESPN), the International Paediatric Nephrology Association (IPNA), and the International Society of Glomerular Diseases (ISGD), and serves on the Education Committee of the International Pediatric Transplantation Association (IPTA). He is also involved in the development of international clinical guidelines and training curricula to strengthen paediatric nephrology and transplantation worldwide, with a particular commitment to capacity building in low- and middle-income countries.

To date, he has published over 200 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and serves as a reviewer and editorial board member for leading journals in nephrology, hepatology, and transplantation.
